Speech-Language Pathologist

Prudenza received her Bachelor of Arts in Communication Disorders in and her Masters of Science in Speech Language Pathology from Southern Connecticut State University. Prudenza is a member of ASHA, the American Speech-Language Hearing Association and maintains her Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC). Prudenza holds her Department of Public Health License from the State of Connecticut and her Provisional Teaching Certificate. Prudenza is fluent in Polish and is a Level 1 PROMPT trained SLP. Prudenza has additional training in LAMP, Kaufman Speech to Language Protocol, Beckman Oral Motor Assessment and Intervention, LAMP, Oral Placement Therapy and several continuing education courses focusing on feeding, with both infants and adults.

Prudenza has worked in hospitals, therapy clinics, private practice and school programs across the state. Prudenza comes with a wealth of knowledge from her vast experiences in pediatrics including, medically complex chronic care, rehabilitation, early Intervention with Birth to Three and school districts. She provides consultations and therapy within client homes, working alongside parents and families, schools and other therapy providers. In her work within a local public school district she provides specialized instruction with preschool aged children, as well as middle school and high school students with a focus on functional communication and transition for the 18-21 population. Prudenza provides a functional and total communication approach for language and is passionate about her profession. She specializes in the evaluation and treatment of feeding and swallowing disorders with pediatrics. She also has experience in augmentative communication and apraxia.

Prudenza is married and a mother of three children. She enjoys working on her farm, bee keeping, gardening, and spending time with her family at home. In her downtime, she loves to homestead – making jams, apple butter, lip balm and scrapbooking her memories of her growing children.
