She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Sciences from James Madison University and a Master of Science Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Emerson University. Briana is a licensed SLP pursuing her Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA, the American Speech Language Hearing Association. She has completed training in principles of motor learning, including Dynamic Tactile and Temporal Cueing (DDTC) and the SPEAK OUT! training course for helping individuals “speak with intent.” Briana is also pursuing Level 1 PROMPT training this upcoming Spring. She has experience in working alongside clients in both elementary school and outpatient care.

Briana’s focused interest groups include working with children with speech sounds disorders and childhood apraxia of speech. Briana enjoys the variability and complexity that each client brings. She is intentional about incorporating play and assistive technology into her therapy practice, while also focusing on functional tasks so that clients are successful in all daily activities.

In her free time Briana enjoys traveling, reading and hiking!

Our child has been in speech therapy for over three years, and Briana is one of his favorites. Her approach to every session is fun, smart, and effective. With her guidance, our son has been able to reach goals that we set years ago! Not only is she a fantastic SLP, but she’s a tremendous friend to our family and a critical part of our village. Her patience and kindness are one of a kind. She’s the best!
