Briana started her career at Speakology within her clinical rotations in graduate school. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Sciences from James Madison University and a Master of Science Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Emerson University. Briana is a licensed SLP pursuing her Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA, the American Speech Language Hearing Association. She has completed training in principles of motor learning, including Dynamic Tactile and Temporal Cueing (DDTC) PROMPT Level 1 and the SPEAK OUT! training course for helping individuals “speak with intent.” . She has experience in working alongside clients in both elementary school and outpatient care.
Briana’s focused interest groups include working with children with speech sounds disorders and childhood apraxia of speech. Briana enjoys the variability and complexity that each client brings. She is intentional about incorporating play and assistive technology into her therapy practice, while also focusing on functional tasks so that clients are successful in all daily activities.
In her free time Briana enjoys traveling, reading and hiking!
