About Us

Speakology LLC was officially founded in 2014 and has grown ever since. Now with offices in both Avon and Farmington CT, as well as offering teletherapy services statewide, Speakology LLC is officially on the map! Jen & Sarah take great pride in learning new skill sets to help their clients succeed and are always striving to improve their practice by both participating in continuing education, as well as offering these opportunities to their staff. Speakology SLPs travel across the state servicing children and adults in office settings, school systems (public and private), center based behavioral facilities, and childcare enrichment facilities.

Over the course of 15 years, Jen & Sarah, with their staff, have participated in extensive continuing education in the areas of motor speech disorders such as apraxia and dysarthria as well as oral motor dysfunction and feeding disorders. Specific training includes Level I & II PROMPT training, Beckman Oral Motor Assessment and Intervention, Sequential-Oral-Sensory Approach to Feeding (SOS), Kaufman Speech to Language Protocol, Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), Social Thinking, Hanen It Takes Two to Talk, Lee Silverman Voice Therapy (LSVT), Lindamood Bell Visualizing and Verbalizing & Talkies, Tethered Oral Tissues and Talk Tools Oral Placement Therapy. In addition, they have both hosted and participated in several continuing education workshops in the areas of social skills, autism spectrum disorders, neurological disorders, special education laws and regulations, apraxia, dysarthria, receptive and expressive language impairments, feeding disorders, assistive technology, declarative language/relatedness and vision impairments.
