Niki received her Bachelor of Arts in English and Speech Language Hearing Sciences from the University of Connecticut and her Master of Arts in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Temple University. Niki is a member of ASHA, the American Speech-Language Hearing Association and maintains her Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC). Niki holds her Department of Public Health License from the State of Connecticut and her Educator Certification. She is fluent in Hungarian. Having worked in hospitals, therapy clinics, and school systems in Connecticut and Pennsylvania, Niki has experience in the areas of feeding and swallowing disorders, oral placement therapy, gender affirming voice care, language disorders, and pragmatic language disorders. Niki has a passion for continuing education and has completed additional training in the areas of apraxia and motor speech disorders, dyslexia and gestalt language processing. Niki is trained in the Kaufman Speech to Language Protocol, Dynamic Temporal Tactile Cueing (DTTC) and is a Level 1 PROMPT trained SLP. She has participated in research studies examining treatment intensity in childhood apraxia of speech and is listed in the online directory for Apraxia Kids as one of the few SLPs in Connecticut who demonstrates understanding and experience in treating children who have apraxia of speech.Niki enjoys working with clients of all ages and helping to make skills functional and come to life! She believes in a highly collaborative approach between families and other service providers to promote success in all environments. When not providing speech therapy services, you can find Niki in her garden, reading or spending time with her family and pets.
