Katie received her Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences from the University of Connecticut, her Master’s of Science in Autism and Applied Behavior Analysis from the University of Saint Joseph in West Hartford, CT, and her Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology from Northeastern University in Boston, MA. She is a member of ASHA, the American Speech-Language Hearing Association, and maintains her Certificate of Clinical Competence. Katie holds her Department of Public Health License from the state of Connecticut. In addition to being a certified Speech-Language Pathologist, Katie maintains her certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). She is a Level 1 PROMPT Trained SLP, and has participated in continuing education courses in PECS, pediatric feeding, and oral motor placement therapy. As a dual-certified clinician, Katie has a deep recognition for the value in collaborating with professionals across disciplines to best serve her clients.
After finishing her undergraduate coursework, Katie began working as an ABA therapist where she realized her passion for working with young children on the autism spectrum. Throughout her five years providing ABA services in home, school, and clinic settings Katie maintained her passion for helping children develop their communication skills. In addition to her ABA experience, Katie gained clinical experience providing speech and language therapy at the New England Center for Children, a specialized school for children with autism in Southborough, MA, as well as public school and private practice settings. Katie sees the potential each of her clients hold, enjoys tailoring each speech therapy session to suit each client’s individual needs, and relishes in celebrating each small victory along the way to meeting their goals.
In her free time Katie enjoys doing yoga and spending time with friends and family.
